Since 2009
We started because nobody was walking the cliff path.
Harriet had spent six years at a regional agency that sold coastal houses the way it sold everything else — from a desk, with a wide-angle lens and a spring afternoon. She left after a buyer completed on a bluff house without ever seeing it in weather.
Seventeen years later the process is still built around that. We walk every plot in winter. We survey before we price. We photograph at both tides. It is slower and it costs more, and it is the reason our sales close within nine per cent of asking rather than twenty.
Four things we will not compromise on.
Weather first
Every plot gets walked in a February gale before we agree a price. A house that only works in June is priced for June.
Two tides, always
No listing goes live until it has been shot at high and low water. Buyers should never be surprised by a mudflat.
Honest pricing
We will tell you your house is worth less than you hoped, in writing, with the comparables attached. It is the whole job.
Small on purpose
Four of us, one office, no franchise. The person who values your house is the person who sells it.
The Office
The four people who will answer the phone.

Above the old chandlery, on the harbour.
The door is open six days a week and there is usually coffee. If you are on the coast and want to talk about a house without arranging anything, come up the outside stair.
